Writers of Non-fiction
The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.

Early Sounding Board
When you’re beginning a new project you need to spend time nourishing your thoughts. We hope the material on our Resources and Windfalls pages might help.
Sometimes an early sounding board can be really useful. We’d be delighted to hear about your idea and respond to any initial material, either over email or on the phone.
Orienting Project Review
Together our team will take a close look at your non-fiction manuscript and/or illustrations; we’ll articulate the strengths in your work so far and think carefully about areas that need more development. Our thoughts will be outlined to you in a letter.
Comprehensive Project Review
This is a more detailed look at your project, looking closely at any illustration and considering the concept, structure, content and style of your text. We will comment on areas that need further attention and make clear suggestions for development. If you have submitted the text alone, we will also think carefully about the visual potential of your idea and how your text might interact with this.
You will receive a comprehensive letter and an annotated copy of your manuscript. A follow up phone or Skype call is included too, so that we can chat through the content of the review and any queries or new ideas can be responded to.
Last Look Project Review
We will take a last look at your project, picking up on any lingering issues and making suggestions for final edits.
We are happy to help you think through where to go next with your work free of charge at this stage. We are also happy to advise you on how to present your work to publishers and agents.
Please note: Some people prefer to discuss their work face-to-face, over Skype or on the phone. We are happy to substitute a series of calls for a written review, if it suits you better.
